Negombo‘s nickname is “Little Rome.” The majority adheres to Roman Catholicism. However, communities of Buddhists, Hindus, Tamils, and Muslims coexist peacefully. Negombo is a major fish collection hub in Sri Lanka. It’s a location where you can spot both big and small fishing boats. It’s also a wonderful place to enjoy a special crab meal or lobster along with other seafood. You can harvest fresh seafood products in the morning and evening.
Our itinerary in Negombo will include a lagoon boat trip, a fish market, Negombo city, a Dutch canel, an Old Dutch church, the Main Church of Negombo, a significant temple in the area, and an excellent sea food restaurant to experience Negombo specialties.
